Students play under made-up space names. We store no student emails, photos, birthdays or addresses. All data is stored in Canada, there are no ads, and we never sell information.

MathWizz, 3868 12th Avenue, Smithers, BC V0J 2N0, Canada. Questions: footiejack2021@gmail.com.

Who uses it

Students in grades 3 to 7 practise times tables, and their teachers track progress. Schools and school districts decide to use MathWizz; we act on their behalf and follow their instructions about student information.

What we collect about students

A made-up space name the app generates, a 4-digit login code, the class they belong to, and how they play: which multiplication and division facts they answered, whether they were right and how many seconds they took, rounds played, stars, characters and badges.

If the teacher chooses, the student's real name, so teachers can tell who is who. Only teachers at the school can see it, and it is never shown in the game.

We do not collect students' email addresses, photos, birthdays, addresses, location or contacts.

What we collect about teachers

Name, school email address, password (stored scrambled by our database provider, never readable by us), and the school they belong to.

How we use it

Only to run the game (choosing questions, rewards, ranks) and to show teachers how their students are doing. We never sell information, show ads, build advertising profiles, or use student information for anything other than providing MathWizz to the school.

Who can see it

Where it is stored

In Canada, with our database provider Supabase, in its Canada (Central) region. Our website host serves the app's files and may keep standard web logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time. The app has no ads, analytics, trackers or third-party scripts.

How long we keep it

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database rules stop teachers seeing other schools, and stop the public seeing any data. Repeated wrong login codes pause logins for that class.

Your choices

Parents and guardians can ask their child's teacher, or us at footiejack2021@gmail.com, to see or delete their child's data. Teachers can download their class's data at any time. Schools and districts can ask us to export or delete all of their data.

Changes

We will tell schools before we make any important change to this policy.
